My Latest Podcast - with Patrick Sullivan, 2600Hz

I’ve been writing and podcasting for UK-based Enterprise Management 360 for several years - more updates about that soon! - and my latest piece has been published now.

This time around, I’m interviewing Patrick Sullivan, who is the co-Founder and co-CEO of 2600Hz, an innovative cloud provider I’ve been following for a few years. Over the course of our conversation, we try to demystify the cloud for SMBs, as well as make the case for using a platform that natively integrates all the core cloud applications, namely UCaaS, CCaaS and CPaaS. I hope you give it a listen, and while there, you should check out all the other content running on their portal.

Newsletter Time - June Issue, and Podcast Too

New month - new newsletter and new podcast. The June issue of JAA Communications and Collaboration Review went out to subscribers yesterday, along with the latest Watch This Space podcast. May sure was a busy month, and I’ve recapped much of what I saw, spoke and wrote about in the newsletter. The June podcast is titled The Metaverse, Innovation and Invention - Thinking Bigger About Future of Work, so that’s a pretty good clue as to what Chris Fine and I have on tap.

BCStrategies Podcast - UCaaS and CCaaS: Better Together

Our latest BCStrategies podcast is a hot topic - is it a good idea to deploy UCaaS and CCaaS together? Lots of momentum for the “yes” side, and most vendors are definitely on board - but there are certainly plenty of holdbacks and scenarios where this isn’t likely to work.

Lots to talk about, and if you’d like to hear our collective take, here’s the replay link. While you’re there, take some time to check out our other content - BCStrategies is the best one-stop resource for thought leadership around collaboration, cloud and contact center!

New Video Interview - Future of Work for Contact Centers

I was recently a guest on First Contact, a video podcast series produced by NobelBiz. They’ve been doing this for a while, and after being contacted about being interviewed, we set up a date, and soon I was in conversation with their EVP of Client Operations, Christian Montes.

The total interview runs about an hour - and you’re welcome to check out the whole thing - but to make it easier to digest, they’ve also broken it up into several smaller segments, which you can just watch in isolation. They did a great job putting all this together, including highlighting some content from my website, so viewers can better understand what I do as an indie analyst.

Here I am during the session with Christian, and to check out the finished project, here’s the link.

Our 2022 Predictions - Latest BCStrategies Podcast

This is a dangerous question to ask analysts, as we all have our opinions, and with so much technology change out there, these can be long conversations. Well, we had 15 analysts and consultants on hand for our latest BCStrategies podcast, so you’ll need an hour to get through it all. This makes for a long podcast, but where else will you get such a diversity of informed views on what to expect in the coming year?

The podcast is posted now on our portal, and the session was led by Jim Burton. If you don’t want to listen to the whole thing, the post includes the start time for each BC Expert, so you can easily find where each of us has our turn.

Time for another podcast - this would be our latest from BCStrategies. If you don’t know, I’ve been with them as a BC Expert for several years, and our podcasts are a great way to showcase a lot of hands-on expertise around communications technologies and contact center.

This podcast is mostly about recent consolidation trends, and given current events, there was no shortage of moves to talk about. Copper Sunset - Was Guest on Channel Futures Podcast - Coffee with Craig and James

One more item to share before Thanksgiving. I was a guest on this long-running Channel Futures podcast - Coffee with Craig and James - Craig Galbraith and James Anderson. The topic was a current one for me - Copper Sunset - talking about the implications for when copper telephony networks are finally decommissioned.

I was interviewed by Edward Gately, and our conversation begins at the 8 minute mark. I hope you enjoy it, and for more on this topic, you can check out the current episode of my Watch This Space podcast.

Reflections on Enterprise Connect - Our BCStrategies Podcast

Last week’s Enterprise Connect event was a great showcase for the state of collaboration and contact center technology, despite being scaled back to all-virtual. The messaging remains the same, and there’s lots to keep up on - and this is still be the best event for doing that in our space.

While the buzz is still on, BCStrategies did its regular event recap podcast, and it’s out now. Lot of perspectives to share, and this episode was moderated by Blair Pleasant - good as always. You won’t find a better collective recap of the event anywhere else, and I hope you give it a listen.

Thoughts on Zoomtopia - Our Latest BCStrategies Podcast

Fall industry events are well underway now, and a big one from last week was Zoomtopia. Always lots to talk about with their event, as they keep pushing out on many fronts. Maybe too many if you ask me, but that’s the nature of the tech space these days, as there are no barriers with cloud, and Zoom is in a hurry to keep growing.

If that’s of interest, then you’ll want to check out our latest BCStrategies podcast, this time led by Blair Pleasant. Here’s the link, and as always, comments are welcome.

My Latest Podcast with Arkphire - Developing Trust with Remote Workers

From time to time, the folks at UK-based EM360 engage me to host a podcast and interview one of their sponsors. Aside from podcasts, I also contribute guest posts, and am listed in their Tech Index directory.

This time around, I was in conversation with James Buchanan of Dublin-based Arkphire, talking about the challenges faced by their customers to manage remote workers. The pandemic has given rise to work from home, and now hybrid work, and that brings along plenty of technology challenges for both IT leaders and workers. It’s a really timely topic, and here’s the link if you’d like to give it a listen.
